Armour specialists invest in new technology

Queensland-owned company, Tote Systems Australia (TOTE), has invested in purpose-built, high-pressure pressing equipment for production of large high-performance flat and complex shaped composite armour panels and parts. TOTE designs and manufactures lightweight bulletproof vests and vehicle armour and states that this technology is the only of its kind in the Asia Pacific region.

It will significantly reduce the weight of armour used by police, the military, homeland security and other agencies throughout the region across air, land and sea platforms.
