On 24 June 2014 Defence Industries Queensland held a networking function for almost 240 defence industry representatives at Parliament House. The event was hosted by the Deputy Premier and attracted key representatives from the Australian Industry Group Defence Council National Executive along with many other significant players in the defence sector, including senior military personnel. The night was a chance to reflect on the achievements of Defence Industries Queensland in its first year, as well as the ongoing progress being made by Queensland's Defence Industries Envoy, Lindsay Pears, and the DIQld team.
