Through the Defence Industries 10-Year Roadmap and Action Plan and the programs it contains, we’re working to ensure our state’s defence industries can take maximum advantage of this opportunity and cement their place as Australia’s next generation defence supplier.

Queensland Aerospace 10-Year Roadmap and Action Plan

Queensland’s aviation industry proudly stretches back almost a century, to the foundation of Qantas in Winton in 1920 during the pioneering days of powered flight. Today, our state’s aerospace sector is home to world-class defence and civilian aerospace capabilities in manufacturing and maintenance, as well as emerging niche sectors such as space industries, unmanned aerial systems, trusted autonomous systems and hypersonics.

The Aerospace 10-Year Roadmap and Action Plan sets out strategies and programs to accelerate the pace of growth across our state’s aerospace sector and help create high value, sustainable jobs for the future.
